ABOUT US

At PLUNGE, language learning is a means to an outcome — not a process for its own sake. For nearly nine years, we have been delivering highly goal-oriented language programmes for individuals, families, and international companies.

We specialise in courses where results matter:

exam preparation, academic admissions, career or life focused language training for adults, and long-term educational planning for children and teenagers. With a 98% exam pass rate, we are trusted with high-stakes goals that require precision, accountability, and measurable success.

Our philosophy is simple: your goal is our priority.

Every course is designed around a clear objective — efficiently, thoughtfully, and with full respect for our clients’ time and ambitions.

PLUNGE Founder

My name is Olga, and I am the founder of PLUNGE. I work with people at very different points of their learning journey — from students striving for academic success, to professionals and companies in need of tailor-made language solutions, to individuals learning a language for life in Switzerland: integration, confidence, residence permits, and everyday communication.  My background is in the methodology of teaching foreign languages, supported by CELTA certification from International House London and advanced academic training in the UK. Over the years, I have worked with international clients in London, the UAE, Switzerland, and online worldwide. For the past three years, my professional focus has been firmly rooted in Switzerland. I personally oversee learning paths for students, families, professionals, and companies — whether the goal is passing an exam, securing a residence permit, performing confidently at work, or finally feeling at ease in daily life in German-speaking Switzerland. What connects all these very different learners is one thing: none of them fit into a template. That’s why at PLUNGE, no two lessons look the same and no course is ever repeated. Each programme is built around a real person — their goals, challenges, and everyday reality — and designed to spark emotion and involvement, because language sticks best when it actually feels something. I am closely involved in quality control across all PLUNGE courses and work with a carefully selected team of educators who share my standards, curiosity, and sense of responsibility. We take our work seriously — but never forget that learning works best when it feels meaningful, supportive, and enjoyable. My mission is simple: to make sure your learning journey with PLUNGE is clear, well-guided, and genuinely effective — whatever your goal, and wherever you are starting from.

Anna | German

Anna is a highly experienced German teacher specialising in both general and academic-focused German. With more than a decade of teaching experience, she works with learners of different ages, including teenagers, whom she supports in achieving strong academic results and long-term confidence in the language. Her background combines advanced university training in languages and education with international teaching experience. This allows her to approach learning in a structured yet flexible way, adapting lessons to each learner’s goals, strengths, and challenges. Anna’s particular strength at Plunge lies in her ability to work with motivated young learners. She is highly dedicated, focused, and supportive, helping teenagers stay on track, build discipline, and reach tangible academic success — while keeping lessons engaging and purposeful.

SASCHA | German

A native German speaker with nearly ten years of teaching experience, Sascha works with learners from A1 to C1 and has extensive expertise in preparing students for Telc and Goethe examinations. His focus is not only on accuracy, but on building real confidence — helping learners move from “knowing the rules” to using German naturally in everyday life. His teaching style is clear, well-structured, and supportive, combined with a relaxed sense of humour. Lessons feel focused yet light, creating a safe space where learners are encouraged to speak freely and make progress without fear of mistakes. At Plunge, Sascha leads group lessons that are known for their energy and charisma. Time flies in his classes: sessions are dynamic, engaging, and thoughtfully paced, ensuring that every participant feels involved and motivated. Fun fact: outside the classroom, Sascha writes short stories and poetry, and plays the guitar — with more enthusiasm than technical perfection. The same creative energy and enthusiasm shape his lessons and make learning German an enjoyable experience.

Dijana | German

Dijana is an experienced German teacher specialising in adult education across all levels, from beginner to advanced. At Plunge, she is the go-to expert for exam preparation and structured goal-oriented learning. Her superpower lies in her deep understanding of German language exams. She knows the formats, expectations, and strategies in detail and guides learners through the process with clarity and precision. At Plunge, exam preparation is something that can be entrusted to her fully. Dijana’s lessons are structured, focused, and motivating. She combines high standards with strong support, helping learners feel calm, prepared, and confident as they work towards their exam goals.

At Plunge, she is especially associated with face-to-face lessons at the Zug office, where many learners enjoy the personal and welcoming learning environment she creates. Her teaching philosophy is strongly student-centred and based on active involvement and meaningful interaction. Empathy, encouragement, and trust are at the core of her work. Cristina | German, Italian

Cristina is a multilingual language teacher specialising in German, Italian, and English. At Plunge, she works with both children and adults. Beyond regular courses, Cristina is a familiar face at Plunge speaking events, where she often moderates and facilitates conversations. Her presence sets the tone: open, inclusive, and genuinely enjoyable. Her lessons are dynamic, interactive, and strongly communication-focused. With her natural charisma and positive energy, Cristina creates an atmosphere where learners feel comfortable from the very first moment. Accuracy matters, but confidence and real interaction always come first — mistakes are welcomed as an essential part of progress. Fun fact: for Cristina, culture is at the heart of language learning. As an Italian, she naturally weaves cultural insight into every lesson — from explaining why “Bolognese sauce” doesn’t actually exist (it’s ragù) to gently reminding everyone that a cappuccino after 11 a.m. is a cultural crime. Her classes are always infused with warmth, humour, and a distinctly positive Italian spirit.

Denise | German

Denise is a qualified language teacher with a degree in English and German and a Master’s degree in Computational Linguistics. Before dedicating herself fully to education, she worked across several fields, including IT, administration, and hospitality — experience that strongly shapes her teaching approach today. It has given her a deep appreciation for clear communication, adaptability, and language that works in real-life contexts. While Denise has a broad love for languages, her true focus is teaching German. Fluent in English and with experience learning French, Italian, and Russian, she understands language learning from the learner’s perspective and anticipates the challenges students face at different stages. Her teaching philosophy centres on clarity, relevance, and empowerment. Lessons are structured yet flexible, supportive while still challenging, and always connected to everyday situations. Creating a respectful, positive learning atmosphere is just as important to her as building solid grammar and vocabulary foundations. Fun fact: outside the classroom, Denise enjoys reading, long walks, and volunteering with the fire brigade — pursuits that keep her curious, grounded, and ready to take on new challenges.
