Terms and Conditions for Plunge Language Courses (Einzelunternehmen Olga Kravchenko)

Scope

These terms and conditions apply to all offers made by Plunge Language Courses (Einzelunternehmen Olga Kravchenko), including individual lessons, mini-group courses (both online and in-person), corporate training and  language speaking practice events.

Registration

A legally binding registration for our services is considered valid when one of the following occurs:

  • The registration form is signed by you.

  • Your email or verbal acceptance of the registration, after receiving our confirmation.

  • You have booked your slot in the course by paying the deposit on the website.

 

By enrolling in any course you are agreeing to pay the respective course fees. Failure to pay the course fees does not constitute a cancellation.

 

Once registered for an event, participants will receive a confirmation email with the ticket.

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policies

Mini-Group Courses (Online and In-Person)

Booking & Deposit
To reserve your place in a mini-group course, a deposit must be paid at the time of booking via our website. By paying the deposit, the participant confirms their commitment to attend the full duration of the course, unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon individually and in writing.

  • If more than 30 days remain before the course start date, the deposit is fully refundable upon written cancellation by email hello@plunge-languages.ch.

  • If 30 days or less remain before the start date, the deposit is non-refundable.

 

Payment Terms
After the deposit is paid, the remaining balance can be settled:

  • In monthly instalments, or

  • As a one-time full payment,
    depending on the agreement made with the participant. Payment is due before the course starts or within 10 days of the invoice date, whichever comes first.

Please note: Monthly payments are available only for structured language courses (A1–C1). For speaking courses, only full payment in advance is possible.

 

No-Shows & Missed Classes
Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled or credited.

 

Teacher Absence
If the assigned teacher is unavailable, we will provide a substitute where possible. If no substitute is available, the class will be rescheduled, and all participants will be notified as early as possible.

 

Individual Lessons (Online and In-Person)

Cancellation & Rescheduling
While we aim to accommodate rescheduling whenever possible, our standard cancellation and rescheduling policyapplies:

  • Premium Light: Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

  • Premium Plus: One short-notice cancellation (<24 hrs) is allowed per month. Any additional changes with less than 24 hours’ notice will be fully charged.

  • Late Cancellations: Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice (unless covered by Premium Plus) are counted as used and are charged 100% of the lesson fee

 

Payment Terms

  • Individual lessons must be paid within 10 days of the invoice date, regardless of course start date.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card on our website.

  • If payment is not received on time, lessons will be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid.

 

Late Payment & Reminders

  1. First Reminder: Sent by email and post; no fee. 5-day grace period.

  2. Second Reminder: CHF 20 late fee applies. Additional 5-day grace period.

  3. Third Reminder: CHF 30 late fee applies. Further 5-day grace period.

If no payment is received after the third reminder, we will initiate debt enforcement procedures, including all late fees and 10% annual interest calculated from the original due date. We reserve the right to claim further damages.

 

 

Events (Language Speaking Practice)

  • Cancellation by Participants (Guests who purchased tickets):

    • More than 48 hours in advance: Full refund.

    • 48 hours or less in advance: 50% of the ticket price can be transferred to a future event.

    • Less than 24 hours in advance: No refund will be issued.

  • Cancellation by Students: Students are required to attend events once they have booked them. Failure to attend the booked event without 24-hour notice will result in an invoice for the full price of the ticket.

  • Ticket Transfers: Only guests who have purchased tickets can transfer their ticket to another person. A written notification must be sent to us with the contact details and language proficiency level of the new attendee.

  • Refund Policy for Event Cancellations by Plunge Language Courses: If fewer than 5 participants register for an event, we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer a full refund or provide alternative events.

  • Event Ticket: The event ticket includes a 90-minute speaking session, curated by one of our partner teachers, a worksheet, and a drink purchased or served at the event location.

  • Promo Code for Students: All students enrolled in courses receive a promo code that gives them free entry to one event per month. Failure to attend an event after booking using the promo code will result in an invoice for the full price of the ticket.

  • Late Arrival: There is no refund or penalty for late arrivals for events. However, we encourage timely attendance for full participation.

 

 

Adjustments to Services and Scheduling

We reserve the right to adjust the content, schedule, or teachers for any course or event. Participants will be notified immediately if there are any changes to the schedule or content.
